New passenger cars and commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes GVW (Expanded range of data - country level)
The database of vehicle registrations has been compiled based on the data obtained from the Central Vehicle Register (CEP) operated by the Ministry of Interior (MSW), additionally expanded by adding vehicle sales statistics as provided by national distributors of individual brands. The material contains figures covering the last two years on new passenger cars and commercial vehicles up to 3.5t GVW, registered in Poland for the first time.
The comparison of the CEP-derived figures against the expanded vehicle registration database will show some discrepancies in the number of vehicle registrations as well as in the sector divided into passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The new database covers only vehicle models available in the Polish market. New vehicles registered in Poland for the first time, imported from non-European countries, as well as vehicles not recognized by brand and model (no entry in the relevant column provided in the MSW data) are excluded. This kind of information is available in other market reports available from IBRM Samar. Additionally, some passenger-car and commercial-vehicle models, due to the nature of reporting practices used by some national distributors, have been placed in the opposite market sectors. This applies, among other things, to two-seat passenger cars with a built-in partition wall (“kratka”).
