The report has been compiled using current new and used car registration figures sourced both from the Central Vehicle Register (CEP) and from the Ministry of Finance. The additional commentary outlines the causes of the changes observed on the market and discusses the influence of widely-understood economy.

Among other data, the analysis looks at fuel prices, exchange rates, government’s moves and initiatives and their influence on the developments on the market. Special focus is on changes in the taxation system, both proposed and actually implemented, as well as the influence of external factors, such as used vehicle imports, manufacturers’ pricing policies and special deals offered by manufacturers and importers.

The new car market is analysed taking into consideration the division into popular and premium makes. Also considered are the individual market segments, including the unique division into car price segments as defined by IBRM Samar.

Analysis of the data contained in the report helps to get answers to questions concerning:

- current standing of the Polish market compared to other European markets;
- share of individual vehicle makes in European markets compared to their share of the Polish market

- share of individual regions in overall car sales volumes on the Polish market;
- average monthly pay in individual regions across Poland;
- market growth prospects in the nearest future.

In addition, the report answers key questions concerning the market for used car imports, including:
- used car import volumes coming to Poland in individual months;
- the average age of imported vehicles.

The report consists of two parts, with the first part containing the above-mentioned analysis of the situation on the Polish car market. The other part shows the outline of Poland’s economy, key economic and financial indices as well as economic forecasts for the future. All the data is presented in the shape of graphs and tables.
