
According to figures by Samar, Poland’s car market researcher, Skoda Octavia was Poland’s most-sold new-car model last year with 18,918 units, reporting a year-on-year increase of roughly 32%. Another Skoda, the Fabia, was in second place with a volume of 13,980 units sold. A Fiat model, the Punto, was back in Poland’s Top-10 car sales list last year, selling a combined 10,560 units, up 24.5% year-over-year. 
Of the new car models launched locally in the course of 2009, Poland’s strong performers were the Kia Soul with 2,130 units, Toyota Verso with 1,445 units, and the Hyundai i20 with 1,396. |
