In October, Germany’s registrations of new Dacias reached 3,179 (+155%). As a result, the Romanian automaker increased its share in the German new-car business from 0.44% to 1.23% currently. Interestingly, Dacia’s sales offensive in Germany continues amid the overall sluggish demand, and its current sales performance has put the Romanian brand ahead of some other industry players such as Suzuki, Chevrolet, Kia, Volvo and Mitsubishi. In the January-October period, Dacia’s new-car registrations in Gemany totalled 20,875 for a 49% increase year-over-year. The Dacia brand went on sale in Germany in June 2005. Since then, the tally has risen to 46,530 units sold there. Rafal Zaglewski |
