Magna Car Top Systems has won the contract to supply folding soft tops for the forthcoming Fiat 500 convertible, with the units set to be assembled at the supplier park which serves Fiat Auto Poland's factory at Tychy, which is the sole global manufacturing point for the 500 runabout.
Magna Car Top Systems is a 100% subsidiary of Magna International Inc, which already has ties with Fiat Group - Austrian-headquarters Magna drove the development process for the current-generation Fiat Bravo.
The Magna Car Top Systems division will build the soft top roof sections for the Fiat 500 convertible at the Millenium Logistic Park in Tychy, which is also part of a local special economic zone.
