A group of 36 Austrian and German journalists driving the Skoda Fabia Greenline had an average fuel consumption of 3.56 litres, with the best result being the 3.2 litres. The 124km test took the Skoda Fabia Greenline on a road trip around the Austrian city of Salzburg. Using guidelines that reflect the way consumers use their motors in real-life conditions, the event organizers had said that the average traveling speed must be at least 60km/h. Designed to offer highly economical and environmentally-friendly operation with a maximum possible reduction of emissions of solid particles and CO2, Skoda Auto's product range called Greenline was previewed at last year's Frankfurt motor show. The first vehicles of this brand-new line are the Fabia Greenline and the Fabia Combi Greenline (1.4 TDI PD DPF/59 kW), which start in Germany at EUR 17,340 and EUR 17,940, respectively. The Czech automaker says that the Skoda Fabia Greenline returns an average 4.1l/100km, with CO2 emissions not exceeding 110g/km. |
