 As a result of agreement between Daimler AG and Chery, the car will be sold under Dodge or Chrysler brand, which will be determined individually for each country.
 Chery A1 is, beside well known QQ model, the next economic model. The target group are young people, appreciating style and individualism. The car might be driven by one of two four-cylinders engine: 1,1L 16V (68hp) and 1,3L 16V (83hp), available with manual, five-speed gearbox. Although it is a typical city car (dimensions:3,700/1,578/1,527 mm) there are a lot of technically advanced elements: McPerson pillars, two-girth brake system, two air-bags, three-points seatbelts, DVD player, GPS, remote control central locking, electric windows and mirrors, rear park sensors.
 Chinese carmaker accents, that the car has already passed a lot of road and crash tests, which will make the sale in Europe possible, even this year. The car met also three conditions of two companies, set as necessary to start sale on overseas markets. These are: international technology standards, service and sale. Necessary information were collected during last month, when there were 5,730 units sold. Likely, Chery will create joint venture with Daimler earlier, which will make fast overseas expansion possible. |
