Last week, the Fiat Auto plant in Termini Imerese, Sicily, hit the goal of four million cars manufactured.
The Sicilian factory set this new record with a Lancia Ypsilon
MomoDesign in the red and black colour combination. It was April 1970
when the Termini Imerese plant started to manufacture the Fiat
Cinquecento. In the following years many other successful models rolled
off its assembly lines: the 126, the Panda (over two million units in
almost fourteen years) and starting from 1993, the two generations of
Fiat Punto.
Since 2005 Termini Imerese has been the only Fiat Auto plant to manufacture the Lancia Ypsilon.
