SEAT's exciting SUV may be shown this year

Some industry sources claim SEAT’s compact SUV, based on the Tribu concept, could be unveiled later this year. However, there are several other new models the Spanish brand wants to launch over the next couple of years.
Rafal ZaglewskiIndustry sources say Spain’s SEAT has its hands full developing several new models due to hit the market over the next couple of years, building on the success of the current-generation Ibiza, which has been praised for its built quality, strong safety features, as well as agility and road-holding characteristics.
These are SEAT’s 2009 new products:
- the brand’s range called the Exeo, which features a sedan and an estate
- Altea FL
- Toledo FL
- Leon FL
These new models SEAT is expected to launch over the next couple of years:
- the above-mentioned compact SUV based on the Tribu
- new-generation Alhambra MPV (2010)
- new supermini positioned below the Ibiza, to be manufactured in Slovakia alongside Skoda and Volkswagen derivatives as part of the New Small Family
- Ibiza estate (2010)
- SEAT may give the green light to launch a small sports car based on the Tango concept
- SEAT is already busy developing the next-generation Leon compact car
