Renault will build the Logan-based Sandero small hatchback for European markets in Romania, according to Automotive News Europe.
Gerard Detourbet, head of the Logan program, said the Sandero will be launched in Europe next year. “The Sandero will be more sophisticated than the Logan,” said Detourbet.

Renault chief financial officer Thierry Moulonguet said that the Sandero will cost “a little more” than the cheapest Logan sedan, which sells for about EUR 7,200. “It will be priced above the Logan sedan and under the Megane,” Moulonguet said.

The Sandero will be a global car for Renault. It will be launched in Brazil and Argentina by the end of the year.

In Europe, the car will be sold under the Dacia brand. In South America, where the Dacia brand is unknown, it will have a Renault badge.
