Nissan will call Renault's Logan Aprio in Mexico

The low-cost Renault Logan sedan, which alliance partner Nissan will sell in Mexico under its own brand, will be called the Aprio, a senior Nissan source told Automotive News Europe.
The vehicle, imported from Renault's Curitiba, Brazil, factory, will go on sale in Mexico in June, the official told Automotive News on April 19. Nissan plans to import 40,000 units in 2007, the official said.

The source said the Aprio - rather than the bottom-of-the-range Nissan Tsuru - eventually was likely to replace the Nissan Platina in Mexico.
