End of the road for Renault Vel Satis

Patrick Pelata, Renault's executive vice president, told Germany's Auto Motor und Sport there will be no direct successor to the top-of-the-range Vel Satis saloon.
On sale since 2002, the Vel Satis has never lived up to its sales expectations, at least as far as Germany is concerned. Instead, the company wants to focus more on the successful market launch for the next-generation Laguna and to make sure the Dacia brand delivers strong sales numbers for the whole group.
